Spam, Or Rather... Anti-Spam
By request, Catapult Web can provide spam protection for your email. While this isn't foolproof (and nothing is), it sure does reduce the amount of junk mail.
How We Fight Spam
At the mail server (before it even gets sent to your account), we take a good, hard look at each and every message to see if it's junk mail. To identify what is, and is not, spam, we use a combination of common techniques including the use of blacklists, phrase filtering and statistical analysis. When we think a message is spam, we mark it as such, and send it to the intended user's "Spam" folder.
Won't That Fill Up My Mailbox?
If we just stopped there, it certainly would. However, we only keep messages marked as "Spam" for five days. If a message is older than that, we automatically delete it.
That way your mailbox shouldn't reach it's capacity due to junk mail.
What If A Message Isn't Spam?
False positives can happen. Despite our due diligence, it is possible that an email "on the up and up" could get sent to your spam folder. You can recover this message by "moving" the message to your Inbox. Once it's in your Inbox, your email program can pick it up.
Checking/Recovering Spam Messages
Just follow these simple instructions.

3.) Browse The "Spam" Message Listing
Here's where you'll see a line listing of the email messages in the Spam folder. From this view you can see the "From", "Subject", "Date", and "Size" of each message. To view a message simply click on the Subject of that message.
4.) Move The Message Into Your "Inbox"
- Identify the "false positive" message from the listing and check the box to the left of the message, in the message listing.
- At the bottom of the listing, where it says "Move selected messages to... or Go to Folder", choose "Inbox" (if it's not already selected) from the drop down list.
- Click the link for "Move selected messages to...".
- Your message is now moved to your Inbox for pickup.
